Daily Creates Week 2 – Audio
This week we focused on audio. I was really struggling with coming up with ideas to make different sounds, however I found a lot that related to finding music after searching for a while, which I enjoyed much better. I am usually found listening to music, as it calms me and provides entertainment, which I really enjoy.

Whenever someone who knows me hears Choosin’ Texas in pubic, they instantly send me a video of it. Whenever my friends hear this song, they think of me. This song came out last fall, however I didn’t really love it until this past semester, when I started relating to it. The past two people I have really liked both moved to Texas (I wish I was joking; I sadly am telling the truth), so I relate to the way they chose Texas. “He always loved Amarillo by morning” and “His heart still belonged to the lone star state” are two very real lyrics to me, as well as the rest of this song. I listen to this song at least once a day, so it makes it my theme song!

I chose “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles, from 2008. I vividly remember as a young child watching American Idol with my mom, and someone sang this song, and it stuck in my mind. I honestly remember thinking it was an original song someone sang on the show, until it had played on the radio. This is also a song my mom would play a lot while doing her Sunday cleaning. I still think this is a great song, and will listen to it from time to time!

I have this massive playlist on Spotify that I started in 2020, that has any song I’ve liked at any period of time on it, and I still continue adding to it. I usually only listen to what’s at the bottom of the playlist, but sometimes it’s nice to shuffle and listen, and to think of the person I was at that time when I added the song to the playlist. The playlist is 126h, and has any type of music on it, and as you can see, I listen to lots of pop and country music.

The website given on Daily Creates was not a website anymore, so I found my own website to do for this task. I have never heard of most of these songs before, except for Jesus, Take the wheel. I am guessing my parents probably didn’t listen to many of these songs based on the way they are now, except for the Carrie Underwood and Mariah Carey, unless my dad listened to them during his hockey career.
